Two Jerusalem Awards for GRF

We’re very happy to report that our two shortlisted programmes both won awards at last night’s Jerusalem Awards held at BAFTA in London.

The programmes were very different  – one a personal reflection for Fathers’ Day; the other, a satirical television sketch for Christmas – but the judges were fulsome in their praise for both. The Fathers’ Day piece was ‘very moving’ and involving; the sketch was ‘clever and creative, with a smart Christian message’.

GRF Team members, Brian Muir and Gillian McKinnon, were at the award ceremony to accept the awards on behalf of GRF.

Christmas sketches on new YouTube channel

You can listen to specially-recorded Christmas sketches on GRF’s new YouTube channel. These involve well-known aspects from the Christmas story re-imagined in the light of some popular TV programmes. So we have shepherds rehearsing for The Choir; King Herod’s spin doctor in The Thick of It; the 3 Wise Men and their ‘fixer’ sounding like a well-known Blackadder character; and, there’s One Born Every Minute, so the midwife is visiting young, pregnant Mary.
